My name is Erifily and I live in Athens, Greece.

I started belly dancing for fitness reasons
and as my interest grew, so did my internet searches.

I became aware of more styles, some called out more than others,
the earthy quality of tribal style, the power of flamenco
and the precision of Indian dances.

Unable to find bellydance teachers in my own country, I continue my studies
learning from books & dvds and attending workshops and seminars abroad.
Some of inspirations in Bellydance are Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara
and Suhaila Salimpour.

I have realised that in order to be a dancer and especially a dance teacher,
you need to have classical training which is why
I am currently studying Ballet and Graham under Christina Soumi.
I also study Odissi (Indian Classical Dance).
Searching for balance, I practice Hatha Yoga and Qigong.
I am a student of Bowen Technique at ECBS
and working for a anatomy and physiology certification from CSCS.

In past few the years, I headed a study group of Fusion Bellydance which soon gave way to a regular classes.

I have also been appearing at clubs (Barrio, Yoga Bala) as well as the Vironas Festival of 2005,
the 20th International Dance Congress and
at the Benaki Museum (Pireos) for the opening of Rrrip! Paper Fashionand at "Babylon Beats" event in Madrid.

I am member 9272 the of C.I.D. (International Dance Council).

My aspiration for the future is to get certified in Hatha Yoga and Basic Anatomy
and continue studying different dance styles –Tai Chi, Butoh, Flamenco etc-
and to make Fusion Bellydance known in Greece.
